Leah Dennison- Quilting

I learned to sew as a child and have never stopped sewing. After my children were born, I discovered art

quilting and loved it.

I could experiment and express myself in ways I hadn’t seen using more traditional

art mediums. Incorporating unexpected paints, dyes, materials and ephemera with the fabric brings my creations to life.

I have transferred this way of working to creating altered books.

The transformation of a discarded unloved book into a book filled with

art is very fulfilling!
