Stephanie Moon has been living and painting in Colorado since 2009. Born and raised in a small farm town in Michigan, Stephanie developed a love for nature during trips to the lakeshore and her grandma’s cottage in northern Michigan. Stephanie’s love for the arts also took hold at a young age, and she went on to earn a B.F.A. in Painting from Western Michigan University.
Stephanie moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 and discovered the thrill of the mountains and the beauty they offer. “My paintings attempt to capture the immense beauty and wonder of the Colorado Rockies. Every time I hike something new, I am completely awe struck by the beauty of our earth. It is a great honor to take that inspiration back to the studio and try to do mother nature justice in the way I capture her essence.” When she is not in the studio creating, you will most likely find Stephanie out on the trails exploring, spending time with her dog and husband, or teaching others how to express their creative side.
